Hey Angela — Rocketmiles is amazing, I know!! But it’s considered a third-party travel agency, so your status won’t be recognized when booking through that platform. I’ve never had mine recognized. No harm in telling the front desk when you get there, though.

Dear Meghan, Thanks for the detailed points.
AFAIK, The following statement is correct only for Amex Cobranded cards such as Amex Delta, Hilton – “The only catch is that if you’re a personal Amex cardholder, you can only earn referral bonuses for personal cards. The same goes for business cards.”

Any other Amex card can be used for referring both personal and business card. For example, Amex Gold Personal card person can refer all Amex personal and business card.
